The redesigned Health app uses Apple Intelligence to summarize data, with new Insights and Longevity tabs that compare a Health Age score; watchOS 27 ships Sept 14
Apple announced major updates to Apple Watch and the Health app: Series 12 and Ultra 4 get new heart sensors (tested with over 1,000 participants), measuring heart rate every 5 seconds throughout the day, and HRV sampling 24x more often (every 5 minutes) to catch stress and recovery patterns faster, alongside a Readiness Score from 0–10 that updates throughout the day.
The redesigned Health app (iOS 27, late 2026) uses Apple Intelligence to help digest data through 2 main tabs: Insights for daily summaries with recommendations, and Longevity for long-term health assessment, including a Health Age score compared with actual age. It also adds at-home movement assessment via the iPhone camera and menopause tracking. watchOS 27 ships September 14 for Series 9 and later and SE 3 and later, while the new sensors are exclusive to Series 12/Ultra 4.
