The ADSP-SC84x/2184x platform uses Tensilica DSP architecture to power smart audio systems, AI noise cancellation, and in-car voice assistants for the software-defined vehicle era
Cadence and Analog Devices (ADI) announced development of a new automotive audio processor in the SHARC family, bringing Cadence's Tensilica DSP architecture into the SHARC-FX core on the ADSP-SC84x/2184x platform.
The chip moves from 28nm to 16nm fabrication, improving power efficiency, supporting higher clock speeds, and adding on-chip AI/ML for software-defined vehicles (SDV).
It's used for per-seat personalized sound, AI noise cancellation, voice assistants, and Generative AI sound creation, with a built-in HSM cybersecurity module.
